CHIP BACHARA
Chip Bachara has spent his entire life in and around the construction industry. Chip’s father, Henry Bachara, began building homes in Jacksonville upon returning to his hometown after serving three years in the Navy during World War II. Having hung around construction projects since as far back as he can remember, it seemed natural that Chip would pursue a degree in Building Construction from the University of Florida and return to work in the construction industry upon graduation. While in college, however, Chip’s parents urged him to pursue another line of work to avoid the economic uncertainty that was inherent in the life of a contractor. After he obtained his Bachelor in Building Construction, Chip worked for two of Jacksonville’s largest commercial construction companies and obtained a certified general contractor’s license. Chip took his parents’ advice and later obtained his law degree from Mercer University.
Since graduating from law school and returning to Jacksonville, Chip has continuously practiced exclusively in the area of construction litigation. Chip was an associate with Bedell, Dittmar, DeVault & Pillans and an associate and partner with Baumer, Bradford & Walters which later merged with Smith, Gambrell & Russell.
