HARDHAT STORY
From 1978 to 1982, Chip Bachara attended the University of Florida where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Building Construction. The course curriculum included site visits to a variety of construction projects in north central Florida. Students were required to own hardhats and steel toed boots to wear to most of the construction sites. Owning a hardhat bearing the School of Building Construction logo was a source of pride for the students. By graduation time, however, the students were eager to trade in their college logo hardhats for a hardhat bearing the logo of their first employer.
From the time he obtained his degree in Building Construction until he graduated from law school, Chip worked for three construction companies each of which issued him a hardhat bearing the company logo. Years later Chip decided to dust off his collection of hardhats and display them in his law office. To his surprise, the unusual display drew a great deal of interest and was a topic of conversation among lawyers and clients. Upon starting Bachara Construction Law Group, it was decided that everyone in the firm would be issued a hardhat bearing the firm’s logo. Now, whenever we perform a site visit, we wear our hardhats bearing the firm’s logo!
